Asht Bhairav Deeksha is an initiation to receive the blessings of all eight forms of Bhairava. Asht Bhairav or the eight Bhairavas are the eight forms of the Hindu god Bhairava, a fierce version of Shiva. They are believed to protect and rule the eight cardinal directions.
Each Ashta Bhairava is thought to preside over eight subordinate Bhairavas, totaling 64 Bhairavas. The Ashta Bhairavas are subservient to Kālabhairava, the ultimate ruler of time and the primary form of Bhairava.
Asht Bhairav Deeksha is a powerful initiation of Lord Shiva, which is used to demolish enemies. Asht Bhairava is the incarnation of Lord Shiva. The mighty mantra of Asht Bhairav has the divine ability to destroy external enemies and demolish internal enemies like diseases, lusts, and sins of the seeker.
The Asht Bhairav Mantra is used to eliminate the hidden enemies, which are not known but are putting hurdles in the life of the seeker. Sometimes some friends or relatives appear to be friendly, but inside they try to malign our reputation and put hurdles in our lives.
They are worshipped as the protectors of sacred sites (Kshetras), most notably in the Ashta Bhairav Darshan Yatra in Kashi (Varanasi), where a dedicated temple exists for each form.

Ruru Bhairava: Southeast, grants success, knowledge, and prosperity.
Chanda Bhairava, South, provides energy to defeat rivals and enemies.
Krodha Bhairava: Southwest, removes obstacles and negative forces.
Unmatta Bhairava: West, destroys ego, and leads to spiritual awakening.
Kapala Bhairava: Northwest, guards against misfortune and bad luck.
Bhishana Bhairava: North, bestows fearlessness and courage.
Samhara Bhairava: Northeast, symbolizes transformation and liberation.
